  Junior Group Lessons
The Golf Academy of Three Rivers Park District is committed to introducing young people to the lifetime sport of golf. The Academy offers youth instruction based upon the philosophy of teaching-great Harvey Penick, who proclaimed in his renowned publication, "The Little Red Book," that "golf should be learned starting at the cup and progressing back to the tee." The Academy offers numerous youth golf opportunities including The First Tee Certification lessons, LPGA-USGA Girls Golf, Hooked on Golf, The First Tee Golf & Sports Camp, and exciting summer "GO" camps.
  The First Tee Card
Juniors in a Program of The First Tee of Three Rivers Park District have the option of taking The First Tee Certification golf and life skill tests. Juniors who demonstrate their understanding of the golf and life skills receive a The First Tee Card. The First Tee Card provides juniors with benefits at Park District affiliate facilities.
The First Tee Life Skills Experience

The First Tee Life Skills Experience is one of the unique features that differentiates The First Tee from many other successful junior golf programs.  Through the Life Skills Experience, participants learn valuable lessons about the importance of maintaining a positive attitude; how to make decisions by thinking about the possible consequences and how to define and set goals from the golf course to everyday life.
The First Tee Certification Process

The First Tee wants everyone who completes The First Tee Experience to have acquired basic golf skills and to be able to demonstrate certain fundamental life skill concepts – such as interpersonal communication and the importance of rules and etiquette.
The First Tee Coach

The First Tee Coach Program is an educational training program that prepares staff and volunteers at Chapters of The First Tee to deliver The First Tee Life Skills Experience, which includes the TARGET program, as well as the Par, Birdie, Eagle and Ace levels of certification.
Assistant Coach Training
The First Tee Assistant Coach Training for individuals who want to be more involved with the ongoing coaching and mentoring of The First Tee participants at the Chapter level but may not be able to spend the time required to become recognized as a The First Tee Coach.
